Randy Withrow is Two Rivers' owner and principal investigator. Randy is a Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) and has more than 25 years of cultural resource management experience in Iowa and surrounding states. He has a BA in History from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and an MA in Anthropology from the University of Minnesota. Prior to organizing Two Rivers Archaeology LLC, Randy worked as an archaeologist for the U.S. Forest Service, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-St Paul District, and several private-sector consulting firms. From 1994 to 2013, Randy worked for The Louis Berger Group, Inc. in Marion, Iowa where he managed more than 1000 cultural resource projects as an Assistant Director and Senior Program Manager for Berger's Cultural Resources Division. Randy's work experience includes a broad range of cultural resource management projects in 11 states including Iowa, Illinois, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
Diane Stolen is a co-owner/manager of Two Rivers Archaeology. Diane has a BA in Anthropology from the University of Minnesota. She has more than 15 years of work experience in archaeology and cultural resource management including NAGPRA compliance for the University of Minnesota and the Putnam Museum. From 1995 to 2008, Diane worked for The Louis Berger Group, Inc. in Marion, Iowa as an artifact analyst, photographer, database manager, and GIS Specialist. She has experience working with both prehistoric and historic period archaeological sites in Iowa and Minnesota.
